Q. Is be our only Saviour ?

A. Yes. There is no other Name under Heaven given amongst Men, whereby we must be saved. Act. iv. 12.

Q. What doth the Word (Christ) signify? Is (Christ)what it the same in Sense with the Word (Meffias or this fignifies Anointed?)

Prophet.

A. Yes. John i. 41. The Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Chrift, or the Anointed, as 'tis in the Margin.

Q. Why was he called Christ, or the Anointed ? Was he indeed Anointed?

A. Yes. Aft. iv. 27. Thy holy Child Je

sus, whom thou hast anointed.

Q. With what was he anointed?

A. With the Holy Ghost and with Power.

Act. x. 38.

Q. To what Office was he anointed?

A. To the three Offices, of a Prophet,

Priest, and King.

Q. Was Christ a Prophet then?

A. Yes. Deut. xviii. 15. A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you (faith Moses) like unto me.

Q. How does he perform this Office of a Prophet? Does he instruct and teach his People ?

A. Yes. And so he is said to be made un to them Wisdom. 1 Cor. i. 30.

Q. Indeed our Bleffed Saviour did perfonally
instruct his Followers, whilst he was on Earth.
But how does he teach his Church now being in
Heaven? Doth he not do this now,

1. By his Spirit? A. Yes. John xiv. 26.
The Comforter which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my Name,
he shall teach you all things.

2. By his Word? A. Yes. 1 Pet.i. 25. The
Word of the Lord endureth for ever:

Gospel is preached unto you.

3. By his Ministry? A. Yes. Mat. xxviii: 19, 20. Go ye therefore and teach all Nations, - teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo I am with you always, even unto the End of the World.

Q. Is Christ a Priest ?

Q. What hath be done, or doth for us, as our Prieft? Hath he made Atonement for us ?

A. Yes. Rom. V. 11. We joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the Atonement.

Q. By what Oblation or Sacrifice hath he made this Atonement ?

A. Heb. ix. 16. Now once hath he appear'd in the End of the World; to put away Sin by the Sacrifice of himself.

Q. Does he yet act for us as our Priest in Heaven?

A. Yes. Heb. vii. 25. He ever liveth and maketh Intercession for us.

been truly God?

Should not he that made us, redeemed us, and preserveth us; is commissioned by God to be King of all the Universe; and with whom we have also covenanted to be his true and faithful Servants, should not he rule and govern us as our Lord and King ?
