This ani-mal has been called the moun-tain goat, but it is not a goat, nor will it go to places where goats are.

The horns of the Cha-mois curl back. It lives up in the snow and ice, and can find a rest-ing place on a spot a foot square, where no man can reach it. It eats herbs, moss, and leaves, or grass.
