For the children of Israel shall abide many days without
a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice,
and without an image, and without an ephod, and with-
out teraphim. Afterwards shall the children of Israel
return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their
king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the
latter days. (Hosea iii. 4, 5.).
CHAPTER VI.
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from
the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto
him ye shall hearken. (Deut. xviii. 15—19.)
CHAPTER VII.
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye

CHAPTER XI.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty
God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven
set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord
hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek:
he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to pro-
claim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the
prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the accept-
able year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our
God; to comfort all that mourn. (Isaiah Ixi. 1, 2, 3.). 55

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee
in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands,
lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. (Psalm xci.

dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them

CHAPTER XXVIII.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which
