To this part of the "Transactions" represents Ovingham Church, with the monuments, beneath which are laid the remains of Thomas Bewick, his wife and son, and his brother John.

They bear the following inscriptions:

Some little time ago, the Committee concluded to place a plate at the disposal of the President to illustrate his Address. Mr. Kell having selected the subject, it has been engraved by Birket Foster, from a photograph by Mr. Worden, of Newcastle, and his own sketches.
