It may be concluded that: (1) a small percentage of colleges and universet en control a substantial proportion of these scholarship funds available from e leges and universities; (2) a few States (but with large total population prev. 20 most of the nondesignated scholarships supported by State funds; and 3 a relatively small number of corporations provide the bulk of scholarships spre sored by business and industry.
