214 LONDON.-The London Ditty, "Oh London is a fine Town." A facetious song of 17 stanzas, probably by T. D'Urfey, engraved with the music on 1 page folio, about 1710. One margin cut into, 7s. 6d.

This popular air was utilised in "The Beggar's Opera " for the song Our Polly is a sad Slut."

FIRST EDITION of this important work, of the utmost rarity, especially with the engraved frontispiece representing the Virgin in glory. The British Museum copy is imperfect.
