Entered as second-class matter, Ithaca, New York ALICE G. MCCLOSKEY and EDWARD M. TUTTLE, Editors ARTHUR D. DEAN, C. EDWARD JONES, G. F. WARREN, and C. H. TUCK, Advisers EDITORS' NOTE To the courtesy of Mr. Royal B. Farnum, of the University of the State of New York, we are indebted for the work in this publication. We believe that the suggestions for the improvement of rural schoolrooms will be read carefully, and that one or more of them will be followed by our rural teachers. We shall be glad to know how any changes have been made in the different schools, and shall therefore ask the teachers to tell us of their efforts and the results. We shall publish an account of some successful experiences in the improvement of rural school buildings, and this may be the means of encouraging other teachers to try similar improvements. We hope to hear about each accomplishment, however small. COLOR SKETCH SHOWING THE SHADOW CORNER OF A ROOM, WITH INTEREST FOCUSED BY MEANS OF MORE INTENSE COLOR AND A BIT OF NATURE. |
