b Who is he that faith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? When he giveth Quietness, who then can make Trouble? And when he hideth his Face, who then can behold him, whether it be done against a Nation, or against a Man only?

c Who is able to ftand before him? Who may ftand in his Sight when he is once angry? Who hath hardned himself against him and hath profper'd? In his Hand is Power and Might, fo that none is able to withstand him; neither is there any that can deliver out of his Hand.

a. He openeth his Hand, and fatisfieth the Defire of every living thing; but his Delights are with the Sons of Men; who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.

b God is the Father of us all: We are all his People; and of his fulness have we all received. Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not alfo of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles alfo ?

d He maketh his Sun to rife on the Evil, and on the Good, and fendeth Rain on the just and on the unjust: He is kind unto the unthankful, and to the evil

a Herein is the Love of God to Man perfected, that he spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all; who will have all Men to be fav'd, and to come unto the Knowledge of the Truth.

b Bleffed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with Benefits.

God giveth to all Men liberally, and upbraideth not.

d Behold God is Mighty, and despiseth not any. I will be gracious, faith the Lord, to whom I will be gracious, and will fhew Mercy on whom I will fhew Mercy.


To the Righ- f The Eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole Earth, to fhew himself strong in the behalf of them whose Heart is perfect towards him. He withdraweth not his Eyes from the Righteous.

He preventeth them with the Bleffings of Goodness; and no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

h If they obey and ferve him, they fhall fpend. their Days in Profperity, and their Years in Pleafures: Their Soul fhall be at cafe.

i Thou, Lord, wilt blefs the Righteous, and with Favour wilt thou compafs him as with a Shield.

a He will fulfil the Defire of them that fear him.

b God giveth to a Man that is good in his fight Wisdom, and Knowledge, and Joy; and him fhall he teach in the way that he fhall chufe.

c The Secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will fhew them his Covenant.

h The Salvation of the Righteous is of the Lord; he is their Strength in the time of Trouble. He fhall deliver them in fix Troubles, and in feven there fhall no Evil touch them. In Famine he shall redeem them from Death, and in War from the Power of the Sword.

i He fhall deliver them from the Wicked.

The Name of the Lord is a strong Tower; the Righteous runneth into it, and is fafe.

The Steps of a good Man are ordered by the Lord: tho' he fall, he fhall not be utterly
