those ignorant people. The little boy was rather disappointed. But he did not remain silent. He spoke, and that, too, very solemnly. "You must not worship idols," said he to the surrounding friends: "the worship of idols is a great sin in the sight of God." Another great truth the dying Dher boy proclaimed was this "We are all sinners.' A person present asked if he reckoned his parents also sinners. Here the devil had laid a snare for him. He paused a little, for there must have been a struggle in his mind to answer this rather painful question. At last he answered it. "Yes, my earthly parents are also sinful: but I have a Father in heaven who is free from all sin. is perfectly holy. I am going to Him." After this, he stretched himself on his bed, and, in the act of doing so, he sent his many salaams to his teachers. Immediately after, he fell asleep, we trust in Jesus.Bombay Guardian. He is glad, however, to say that with the new year a NEW SERIES will be commenced, under the care of a well-known friend in London, who, as a member of the Baptist Missionary Committee, will constantly be able to lay before his readers the most valuable information, while, as a practised writer for the young, he will be sure to interest them greatly. Other attractive writers have promised to give their assistance. There will be new type, new pictures, new stories; and our friends, both old and young, cannot do better than by doing all they can to recommend our HERALD everywhere, so as to secure a much larger circulation.
