The

enormous and unprecedented success which has attended MR. PUNCH's great literary undertaking, has determined him to commemorate his triumph by a

Grand Distribution of Works of Art.

The distribution will be conducted upon a system of unimpeachable simplicity and equity. Pound over the counter of MR. PUNCH's establishment in Great Collins-street, will be entitled to

A Copy of the Present Volume,

estimated by the best judges to be a Prize worth a

Hundred Pounds.

All persons paying a

The manner of drawing will be the following. The pound having been received by an officer of Mr. PUNCH'S establishment, he will pass his hand to a heap of volumes lying near, and draw the one that happens to be upon the top. That volume will immediately become the property of

The Fortunate Prize-holder.

But to do away with the remotest suspicion and to afford a security to the drawer, such as he will meet with in no other Lottery, Distribution, or Art Union whatever, HE WILL if he desire it,

Be permitted to draw his own prize from the heap.

It would be superfluous to comment at greater length upon a scheme full of such manifest advantages as those which are now offered to the public. The extreme liberality of the plan MR. PUNCH proposes, might indeed cause it to be looked upon with some suspicion were it propounded by any one less celebrated as a philanthropist. As it is however he cannot doubt that his unexampled generosity will be duly appreciated, and that thousands will rush to secure for one pound

The certainty of being intensely delighted,

TOGETHER WITH A CHANCE OF BEING PERMANENTLY IMPROVED.
