In presenting to the Members of the Victoria Institute the Forty-seventh Annual Report, the Council would congratulate them on the large attendances secured at all the Meetings of the year. This has been the more gratifying as a contrary result might well have been feared; since the War has imposed duties upon many which have prevented their coming, and the increased difficulties of travel might well have deterred others. The interest in the work of the Institute and in the subjects. discussed at its Meetings has been well maintained. 2. Meetings. Thirteen meetings were held during the year 1915.
