Sermon fications. can we approach the Sacrament;
XIV. and celebrate his Death, than these? When
we come to commemorate his Sufferings
and Death with the fame Graces on our
Minds, with which he endured them; muft
not this recommend us to his Favour?
Muft not this engage him to look moft
aufpiciously on us, to own us for his real
Difciples, and Friends, and Followers?
Is not this that Wedding-garment that our
Lord requires? Let us therefore clothe our
felves with it, adorn our Minds with that
Devotion that Refignation, that Charity, that
mutual Forgiveness, that when our King
cometh to furvey his Guefts, we may not
be rejected, but approved of in his Sight,
And how great will be the Bleffing of
this? The Application of all the Bene
fits of his. Paffion to our Souls, Pardon
of our Sins, fpiritual Affiftance of Grace,
Union with him here, which can never
fail of raising us, both in Soul and Bo-
dy, to a Life of immortal Happiness and
Glory with him for ever.

To commemorate his Death, as to enjoy those
great Bleffings, God of his infinite Mercy
