A bill to amend chapter 97 of the general laws of 1876, entitled an act to regulate the licenses to be paid by railroads.

Strike out all after the enacting clause, and insert the following: Section 1. The provisions of subdivision 3 of section 1213 of the revised statutes of 1878, shall apply to and in the collection and settlement of all license fees now due by railroad companies for licenses issued prior to 1876, provided such arrearages are paid on or before January 1st, 1880.

Section 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.

Which was adopted, and the bill ordered re-engrossed and read a third time.
