Senator Dering at his request was excused from further service upon the committee on Roads and Bridges.

Senator Bennett was appointed by the president as a member of said committee, in place of Senator Dering.

Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the constitution be amended by adding an addititional article numbered 15, to read as follows:

ARTICLE XV.

Section 1. The manufacture and sale of intoxicating liquors in this state, except strictly for use in the arts and as a medicine, is forever prohibited.

Section 2. The legislature shall at its first session after the adoption of this article, provide for its enforcement by appropriate legislation.
