The wolf caught a goat,

and wanted to eat him. But the dogs came,

and caught the wolf. Another day, the wolf saw a goat, on a great rock. He could not get the goat. A little bird saw the wolf. He said, "Wolf, you can not get that little goat."

THE NORTH WIND AND THE SUN.

The North Wind said to the Sun, "You are not so strong as I!" "I can blow you out!" "I can blow a tree down!”

"North Wind, you are strong."

The North Wind said,

"See that man on the hill."

"I will blow his coat off."
"You can not do it."

The Sun said,
"We will see."

So the North Wind blew.
He caught the coat and shook it."
But the man took hold of his coat.
He did not let it go.

Then the Sun came out gently.
It was warm.

The man opened his coat.
Then he took it off.

He sat down under a tree.

North Wind could not get the coat off.

He is not so strong as the Sun.
